The first few days have been mostly getting used to stuff and chilling/catching up with Ian, Tim, and Cassie so it shouldn't be a very long recount. After super delays on my flight I arrived in London at around 1:00 PM local time on Wednesday. I then proceeded to meet Cassie at the tube stop right outside Ian and Tim's flat which is in Bermondsey (zone 2) but between customs, baggage reclaim, money changing, and just plain transit time it was around 4:00 PM. The rest of that day was getting settled, going to the grocerie store and then just having dinner when Ian and Tim came back. I had some "digestives" which are basically cookies and Cassie made me tea british style.
Then the next day was Cassie hangout day. We met her cousin for lunch at some cafe near Westminster that was "okay." We then went towards some antique store to check shit out and talked with a really nice Irish lady for a while. The Irish lady and some other guy that sold us Coffee at the cafe inside the antique store asked us where we were from and then we talked about how Bush sucks and how they all really like Floridians. The rest of the day was different stores (a soap store, some other just plain girly store (for Cassie... not me), and then meeting Ian and Tim for dinner (Chinese) and then a pub where we hung out for a little while before heading home.
Friday was my Tim day. We had what they refer to as a Full English. According to Ian and Tim the British really know their breakfast and I have to say that so far I concur. Then we set out to see Pan's Labyrinth (which was pretty neat). We had a few hours to kill so wandered around. Came across a market full pretty cheap stuff, even when considering the conversion factor. Then we killed an hour and a half in a pub outside the movie theatre. Strangely, and mostly since it's exported, budweiser is considered like... "good" here. It's more expensive than the good English beers and every place has it on its menu. We had a couple Carlinder's and got to hear some good pub singing and then saw the movie. Afterwards we went to a little pizza place where I was introduced to the English/European custom of drowning pizza with spicy olive oil, which I must say is pretty awesome. We hit up a pub after that and then went home.
Today has been my Ian day and pretty laid back. Our day was mostly getting a Full English breakfast, bringing some food back to Cassie, seeing her off (she's going back to Leeds for the week), then watching a shit-ton of Star Trek. It's impossible to pull away because they don't put any commercials in the middle of the shows here... it's just an entire episode straight through. Star Trek III: The Search for Spok is on right now but I think as soon as it is over we're going to go get some Indian food and get some beer afterwards.
We've been looking into travel plans but since it's all short notice and holiday time things are more often than not expensive. I was able to find plane tickets to Hamburg for three days for around 55 pounds but I haven't purchased them since I'm waiting for the group of us to make travel plans.
I think it's about time to head out for dinner so, later.

Stay out of the pubs.
Get your plans to go to Germany set, buy your tickets don't wait till it's too late. Have fun. Glad to hear you got there safely.
Did you remember your passport?
HA!
Sorry...I had to ask one more time.
So i've noticed that if you call a bar a pub..its ok to be in there every day. Hmm. Maybe I'll try that out in SF and see if they send me to AA.
It's funny that Budweiser is "good" over there, cause you hardly ever see it in Cali.
Have fun shaney poo!
